Davy Knowles to deliver conference speech

Helping young people make the transition from school to the workplace is the focus of a gathering taking place today.

The Employability Conference is on at Mount Murray, the second time it has been held.

It's been organised by the Employability Working Group, which is made up of representatives from the Departments of Education and Children, Economic Development, the private sector and voluntary organisations.

Keynote speaker is musician Davy Knowles, who is cultural ambassador for the Island of Culture.

He told Manx Radio when he was growing up the Isle of Man had been a great place for helping him achieve his ambitions:
