Get your dancing shoes at the ready… The Overtones are coming back to the Isle of Man!
Manx registered charity Junior Achievement presents 'The Overtones' a five-piece vocal harmony group formed in London in 2010, consisting of singers from England, Ireland and Australia. They were discovered by a Warner Brothers talent scout while working as decorators in a shop near Oxford Street, singing during their tea break. Their debut album Good Ol' Fashioned Love entered the UK Albums Chart at No16 in November 2010. However, after the re-release of the album in March 2011, it propelled to No4. They have sold in excess of 500,000 copies of their first album.
Witness their timeless sense of style as they perform smooth renditions of iconic songs and their own original material. The band, likened to a "modern incarnation of The Temptations" (The Independent), will perform doo-wop and Motown tracks from new album Saturday Night At The Movies, alongside material from Good Ol' Fashioned Love and Higher. This is set to be the ultimate feel-good show.
"You'll know by now that by the end of one of our shows we make sure everyone is up dancing and the Saturday Night At The Movies tour will do exactly that" Lachie Chapman
This event has been organised by local charity Junior Achievement and has been sponsored by Friends Provident International.
