The latest graduates of Salon 3’s Academy have been busy making their mark with the company’s customers, just weeks since qualifying from its training programme. 

Olivia Cooke and Jessica Bryan, both 19, are now accepting female clients at the award-winning hairdresser, located on Victoria Street in the heart of Douglas, and are already building up a loyal client base. Clients will benefit from reduced rates under the salon’s ‘Junior Stylist’ scheme, with their work being monitored by their senior colleagues on a daily basis. During client consultations they will also be joined by one of their senior colleagues.

Olivia began her hairdressing career three years ago, and Jessica two years ago when they joined the Island’s leading training salon. Upon joining, they began studying for their NVQ Level 2 qualification at the Isle of Man College, which is the industry standard for anyone wishing to work as a stylist. They also joined Salon 3’s Academy which is a comprehensive training programme run under the guidance of its multi award-winning Creative Director, Janet Lancaster, designed to give them a bespoke, one-to-one development plan within the confines of a working hairdressing business.

Olivia has already passed her NVQ Level 2 qualification, and Jessica will graduate from Isle of Man College in May, although she has already had most of her practical work assessed and passed in Salon 3, having been examined by Janet.

Commenting on their graduation, Janet said: “The huge following they have already gained with our clients shows just how talented Olivia and Jessica are, and they have thoroughly impressed me with their dedication and attitude towards their learning and development. They have embraced every opportunity given to them, are very open-minded and creative, and have also listened to the advice given to them by their senior colleagues. They both have a fantastic future ahead of them and I couldn’t be any more proud.”

Under Salon 3’s ‘Junior Stylist’ scheme, female clients can benefit from reduced rates on appointments with Olivia and Jessica. These include trim and blow dries from ?25, blow dries from ?13, full head colours from ?25, hair-ups from ?20, and dry trims for little girls from ?10.
