'Very high' pollution levels recorded in the Isle of Man

by isleofman.com 3rd April 2014
Air pollution levels are very high in the Isle of Man this afternoon, the government laboratory has confirmed.
This is the same as that which has been creating problems in parts of the British Isles for the last couple of days, caused by pollution from continental Europe and Britain, and dust from the Sahara.
The Island's Public Health Directorate says if you suffer from heart or lung problems you should avoid strenuous physical activity, and if your symptoms get worse seek medical help.
Even if you're healthy you should reduce physical exertion, particularly outdoors, if you get a sore throat or a cough.
Asthma sufferers may need to use their inhalers more.
The Public Health Directorate says it will continue to monitor the situation.
