Manx Labour Party remembers Tony Benn

by isleofman.com 4th April 2014
The Manx Labour Party will remember the late Tony Benn this evening (Friday).

A meeting and film show will focus on the giant of the Labour movement who passed away last month.

The party is showing the Ken Loach film Spirit of ’45 in which Mr Benn is interviewed about Britain after the 1945 Attlee Labour victory.

It’s considered an important film about our social history and the formation of the National Health Service.

The film will be shown at seven thirty at the South Douglas Old Friends’ Association in Douglas.
