Royal in the promotion hunt

Douglas Royal have given their promotion chances a big boost.
A 3-2 victory over fellow challengers Ayre United has opened up the race for promotion from JCK Division Two.
Gavin Gawne, Paul Whitley and Greg Hoskisson grabbed the goals as Royal overcame a spirited second half showing from Ayre to seal all three points.
The Tangerines, who trailed 2-0 at the break, replied through Jonny Kelly and Daniel Kelly but it wasn’t enough.
Colby have outside promotion hopes of their own after a 5-1 success at Braddan, courtesy of goals from Jordan Primrose-Smith (two), Ashley Blake, Tom Crawley and Brandon Moore.
Will Smith notched the home side’s consolation.
Andy Barber, Wes Gibson and Dave Skillen were among the scorers as Pulrose ran out 4-2 home winners against Foxdale.
