Entries received by the Manx Motor Cycle Club, organisers of the Manx Grand Prix, which takes place between 16th & 29th August and is part of the Festival of Motorcycling have far exceeded those received at the same time in 2013.

The Race Committee confirmed that with six weeks to the closing date for entries being received, Saturday 7th June, a total of 298 have been received compared to 143 last year.

Of the entries received, 61 of the competitors are also entered in the Classic TT.
