Southern Nomads in Cheshire Plate Final

by isleofman.com 18th April 2014
Three fixtures in Rugby on Saturday – Southern Nomads are away in their third consecutive Cheshire Plate Final.
There’s been a distinct and unusual lack of silverware for the Manx side domestically this season so the game against Oxton Parkonians offers the chance of regaining the Plate they last won two years ago.
The match is at Winnington Park and kicks-off at 12.15pm.
Douglas play their last match in South Lancashire and Cheshire Division One campaign.
They are away to Wigan – defeat will see Douglas finish in a rather disappointing 7th place after challenging for promotion for the lion’s share of the season – but a win could see the Port-e-Chee team finish as high as 4th.
At Ballafeltcher, Vagabonds “B” play Ramsey “B” in the annual ABC Memorial match with kick-off at 2.30pm.
