Bowley wins cup for Gymns

by isleofman.com 19th April 2014
Gymns’ hopes of a league and cup double are alive.
That’s after they ended the spirited challenge of Marown to win the GH Corlett Woods Cup.
Substitute Liam Bowley clinched the cup for the Division Two league leaders with a 3-2 success at the Bowl after extra-time.
An early Mark Connor penalty gave Gymns the lead before Shaun Shimmin levelled for the Crosby outfit.
Player/manager Jonathan Broad scored his first of the campaign to regain Gymns’ lead only for Marown to hit back yet again through Shaun Doyle.
But Bowley had the last word to spark Tromode celebrations.
