Ramsey Men's Darts League Results & Report

by isleofman.com 22nd April 2014
The final games of the 2013/14 season came to a sad end with the title winners easing off the gas nearly too much.

Plough A 5 - 4 Stanley:  Geoff Howland has had a fantastic season and we at RMDL wish him all the luck in the coming months when he will be pitting his skills against the best at the IOMDO qualifiers.  But back to Tueaday and with 7 ton+ scores including a 180 and also a 110 finish along with 2x15 dart legs he powered the Pluff onto victory.  For The Stanley it was great to see Barry Sharpe back and at his best.

Mitre 4 - 5 Plough B:  Hate to say it as he has also had a fantastic season in the league but shock of the year was Jamie Kelly losing out in a three legger to landlord Carl Joughin, nothing against Carl as he can throw a good dart but this was a shock making it two loses in as many weeks for Jamie.  Mac MacDonald was on fire again for the Plough outfit 5 ton+ scores and two wins indeed he beat Roy Dunlop in a classic with 11 tons between them.

Bar Logo 8 - 1 RAOB: The Buffs have gone the season without a win but the league simply wouldn't be the same without them. Destroyed by a fantastic Bar Logo side Andy Evans, Alan Young 100% record in the singles for the year and Martin Timoney hitting the spot this week. Only victory for the orange army was the young James Crowe who has had a great year and he is one to watch next season.

Commie Raven 2 - 7 Swan:  Two players stood out at this venue on Tuesday and one from each team.  Alan Kinrade with a hall of 6 ton+ scores including a 180 and 18dl.  For the Swan boys big Wayne Harrison finally showed his muscle and with 5 ton scores including a 107 finish and 18/20 dart legs helped the second placed team to another good win also this meant Wayne kept his 100% record for the season.  Paul Arthur with a 180 and helped by longtime pairs partner Stevie Waters kept their 100% winning pairs season tally going.
