Meeting to tackle green lanes issue

by isleofman.com 24th April 2014

Infrastructure Minister Laurence Skelly is set to outline proposals for the future use of green lanes in the Isle of Man's uplands at a meeting next week.

Environmentalist Richard Crowhurst says he has been invited along and hopes a firm policy will be developed. Mr Crowhurst claims that off road vehicles are ruining the Manx countryside and says most of the damage is being done by motorbikes. He wants to see some of the lanes permanently closed to give them a chance to recover from the damage.
