Man charged after fatal collision

A 30 year-old man from St John’s has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

It follows a fatal collision on the Tholt-Y-Will Road on Saturday teatime in which a pedestrian was killed.
The man is due in court today (Monday) charged with a number of offences.
A second man arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Mark Newey is leading the investigation.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the vehicle being driven on the Mountain Road shortly before the incident.
