Appeal after vehicle fails to stop

by isleofman.com 28th April 2014

Around 8.15am this morning, Monday 28th April 2014, an elderly gentleman was driving his blue Seat Arosa along the A2 Coast Road, from the direction of Maughold travelling towards Ramsey, in the vicinity of the Rest and be Thankful.

A white van has reportedly been travelling in the opposite direction and has been overtaken by a black car which has collided with the Seat Arosa, smashing the offside wing mirror and driver’s window.  The driver of the black vehicle has failed to stop and would be aware that a collision had occurred.  The elderly driver has been left shaken as a result of this incident.

PC 12 GILES (Email: kathryn.giles@gov.im/Tel: 812234) is appealing for witnesses to the collision in an effort to identify the driver of the black vehicle which may have damage to its offside.
