?1.58million to raise for breast care facility

Plans will be unveiled today for a new breast care unit at Noble's Hospital.


The Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and consultant surgeon Millie Bello (pictured) are to reveal an ambitious scheme for a purpose built extension. The charity's plans have expanded from the original aim of developing a clinical space within the hospital at a cost of ?600,000 to now raising funds for a purpose built unit at more than double the cost that will be able to offer more facilities.


The Lieutenant Governor is helping to launch the project and will be unveiling a fundraising totaliser, the 'Milliemeter' at a ceremony this evening at the hospital.
