Tribute to woman killed on Tholt-y-Will Road

by isleofman.com 2nd May 2014

Relatives have paid tribute to Gwen Valentine, who was killed by a driver who didn't stop at the scene on the Tholt-y-Will Road on Saturday afternoon.

The 62 year mother of three was from Winchester and was visiting family in the Isle of Man. She died at the scene of the incident. Her fiance and son were both with her.

In a statement, Gwen's family says: 'Gwen was preparing for her wedding in June, had been retired for just over a week and her first grandchild was not yet a year old. She was taken in the prime of her life, and all who knew her loved her for her zest for life, humour, fearlessness and compassion. She will be sorely missed.'
