Beer tent boss pushes for TT action on prom

A late attempt has begun to bring street entertainment back to Douglas Promenade this TT.

The government-backed nightly stunt show outside the Villa Marina has been pulled from race week this year, on cost grounds.

Instead there'll be a touring show, taking entertainment outside the capital.

Now, Bushy's brewery boss Martin Brunnschweiler is appealing for sponsors, to bring street action for the bikers back to Loch Prom, outside his beer tent.

A road closure's been agreed and he's now working with Straightliners - who organise the Ramsey Sprint - to put on a show at what he sees as the spiritual home of TT entertainment.
