99 year old wins Guild class!

History made at the Manx Music Festival last night – with the Guild’s oldest ever class winner.
99 year old Laurence Kermode is well-known for his knowledge of the works of Manx author TE Brown.
After competing in a number of previous festivals without a win, last night he was awarded 90 marks for his recital from "The Schoolmaster" and won the Walter Kennaugh Memorial Trophy.
