Drivers beware as train and tram season starts

by isleofman.com 3rd May 2014

Drivers are being reminded that the electric trams and steam trains are back in operation for the summer season.
Police says care must be taken at crossing points on the roads, many of which are unfenced.
Last year there were three collisions with trams and 18 near misses.
So far this year there has already been one collision and five near misses.
Motorists are reminded they could face significant fines and penalty points for failing to comply with the signals or being involved in a collision.
