Foxdale fire destroys workshop

by isleofman.com 4th May 2014
A number of temporary structures in Foxdale had to be destroyed after a fire at a workshop in the Eairy yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
A small bonfire burning out of control spread to a nearby workshop and surrounding tress and there was initial concern when the property owner could not be found.
Crews were on the scene for seven hours monitoring and cooling affected cylinders, with specialist advice from Manx Gas officers.
They also had to ferry water from around half a mile away due to a lack of water in the area.
A nearby property remained evacuated overnight as a precaution.
