Motorist charged with crash death due in court

A 30-year-old man from St John’s charged with causing death by dangerous driving will appear in court this morning.

Donovan Bradley Kitching also faces six other charges relating to a fatal collision on the Tholt-y-Will Road 10 days ago in which a pedestrian – 62-year-old Gwen Valentine from Winchester - was killed.

Mr Kitching is due to appear before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.

He is also accused of driving whilst disqualified; escaping lawful custody; having no insurance; failing to stop after an accident; taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and possession of a class B drug (amphetamine).
