?2.1 million earmarked for health changes

by isleofman.com 6th May 2014
A fund to pay for implementing recommendations arising from various reports into the Manx health service has been set up and is ready to go.

The treasury minister has told the House of Keys that ?2.1 million pounds was the amount that had been made available at the moment, but admitted that might not be enough to cover everything.

Eddie Teare said it would be up the new health minister and his officers to work out exactly how much it would be cost to put necessary recommendations in place.

He said if more money was needed, there was a process the minister could go through to seek additional funds.

But Mr Teare refused to guarantee it would be granted:Clip 1
