Medicinal users of cannabis forced to break law

Those experiencing the medicinal benefits of cannabis are being forced to use the drug illegally when they can’t have it prescribed.
That’s the view of a psychiatrist at the Island’s Drugs and Alcohol Team.
Growing research shows medicinal cannabis use can benefit those in pain, suffering from nausea and to counter the side-effects of chemotherapy.
Dr Kirsten Wafer says those who find the drug beneficial often have to make a difficult decision to break the law:
