Peel Road open to traffic again

Peel Road in Douglas is open to traffic again
It had been closed earlier this morning after heavy rain overnight caused what police described as "severe flooding" . . and it was thought the road could have been out of action until 9am
Extensive renovation works on the Peel Road lasting over a year have only just been completed.
Bus Vannin say buses have resumed their normal routes in Douglas but Mooragh Promenade Ramsey will be closed to traffic from until 1pm and buses there will be unable to serve the prom.
