Robbery update

by isleofman.com 11th May 2014

A day after the violent robbery at RHS jewellers on Prospect Hill in Douglas the police have finally published three very poor quality still images from CCTV cameras positioned outside of the building and are now reappealing to the public for information to name the person riding the off road motorbike, wearing the distinctive crash helmet, black jacket and jogging trousers.

As already revealed by MTTV the man threatened the shop owner with a hammer before grabbing thousands of pounds worth of diamonds and gold jewellery from the display cabinets and front window.

Its understood better images/video might be available from the jewellers own CCTV cameras.

In a written press release on Saturday evening Detective Sergeant Richards said “With the assistance of the public enquiries are progressing well. Our main focus is now on identifying the person featured on closed circuit CCTV pictures. The motorcycle helmet has been described as a distinctive full face crash helmet with a red logo or design down the middle of the helmet.
