Shop owner threatened with hammer

A shop owner was threatened with a hammer in a robbery at a jewellers on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened around 4pm when a man wearing a full face crash helmet entered RHS jewellers on Prospect Hill and threatened the owner who was behind the counter, before making off with a quantity of jewellery from the display window.
Officers have confirmed there were some high value pieces were stolen.
The shop owner was left shaken but unharmed.
Police have now released CCTV pictures of the man seen in the full face crash helmet . . which has a red logo or design in the middle.
Anyone who recognises the person or the clothing the man is wearing is asked to contact police on 631 212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
