Armed robbery - police renew appeals

Police inquiries are continuing after an armed robbery at a Douglas jewellers on Friday afternoon.
A man entered RHS Jewellers on Prospect Hill in Douglas at around 4pm and threatened the shop owner with a hammer before grabbing a quantity of high value jewellery from the front display window.
Over the weekend, police released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.
And they’ve now confirmed the motorcycle used in the robbery was stolen from the Tynwald Street area of Douglas and was ridden down Westmoreland Road towards Circular Road just before 4pm.
It was recovered from the back of Belmont Terrace on Friday evening.
If you saw the bike or the rider and have not yet come forward, police would like to hear from you.
They’d also like to speak to anyone who was either walking or driving down the lane behind Belmont Terrace just after 4pm on Friday.
