Remembering Katherine Crowe

by isleofman.com 12th May 2014

Hundreds of people are expected to attend tomorrow's memorial service for Katherine Crowe.

Extra bus and tram capacity has been laid on in anticipation of the likely demand. Singer, blogger and children's book author Katherine inspired the Manx community with her public battle against cancer. The service takes place at All Saints Church, Lonan, at 11.30am tomorrow.

Because of limited parking on Church Road, transport authorities are operating double decker buses on the number 3 service, with additional buses and tram available if required. The service number 3 to Ramsey departs Douglas Lord Street at 09.45, 10.15 and 10.45, arriving at the Ballacannell estate stop next to Church Road at approximately 10.07, 10.37 and 11.07. Buses return from Lonan at approximately 12.37, 13.07 and 13.37.

Manx Electric Railway trams will depart Derby Castle at 09.40 and 10.40. Alight at Fairy Cottage. Trams return from Laxey at 12.55 and 14.25.
