Have your say on the landlord bill

by isleofman.com 14th May 2014
There's a chance for people in the Isle of Man who might be affected by proposed laws concerning landlords and tenants to have their say about them.
A House of Keys Select Committee was set up to examine the Landlord and Private Tenant Bill in detail.
The Department of Social Care is in charge of the bill, and says the intention is to protect the rights of both landlords and tenants.
But some have voiced concerns that it would come down too heavily on landlords, with others suggesting it does not go far enough.
The committee is inviting people to submit written evidence by Friday, May 30.
It will be taking oral evidence in due course.
