Castletown trumpets positive message on dementia

by isleofman.com 18th May 2014
Castletown is to be the centre of a week-long drive to teach Island residents about dementia.
The town square will be decorated today to mark the start of Dementia Awareness Week - and ambitions to make it the Island's dementia-friendly capital.
Local private home care firm Home Instead has held a series of training sessions for local retailers and restaurant owners, to help staff recognise the signs of dementia.
They've also been given advice on how to handle customers with the condition.
The company's founder Emer Wiseman says the town centre will be ablaze with colour - to reflect their positive approach: Clip 1
