by isleofman.com 19th May 2014
Three people are in hospital following a serious road traffic collision yesterday teatime (Sunday).
The crash happened at the 11th Milestone, known as Drinkwater’s Bend, on the Ballacraine to Kirk Michael Road at around five o’clock.
Fire crews attended to help remove those injured.
The occupants of a yellow Hyundai car, travelling towards Ballacraine, were taken to Noble’s Hospital where they have remained overnight, as was the driver of a burgundy Audi travelling towards Kirk Michael.
However, he has now been transferred to a UK hospital and is in a serious condition.
The road was closed for several hours for forensic enquiries.
Police are thanking all those who stopped at the scene to help, including off-duty medical staff.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 631212 and ask to be put through to the roads policing unit.
