Descriptions of a gang of girls who assaulted a woman in Onchan have been released by the police.

The attack took place at about 2.50pm on Thursday May 15 in a rear lane near Laurel Avenue. A woman walking in the lane was injured after being attacked from behind. Her attackers are all thought to be around 16 years old and of average build.

The first is described as wearing a black hooded top with no zip which had small white writing on it and dark blue jeans. She had mid-length dark hair with a centre parting. The second girl was wearing dark blue jeans with patterned Converse shoes. She had shoulder length dyed blonde hair with dark roots. The third was carrying a rucksack and had dark hair tied back.

Police want to hear from anyone who has information on the assault or who saw the teenagers.
