Ben-my-Chree back after refurbishment

by isleofman.com 19th May 2014
After a ?1.6m overhaul and refurbishment, the Ben-my-Chree has returned to the Island and should re-enter service later this week.
A range of work has been carried out on the Steam Packet vessel, including new flooring in the main lounge, a makeover of the cafe and bar with extra seating, new table tops and LED lighting.
The biennial refit also involved a detailed inspection and service of all the Ben's systems.
During her stay in dry dock at Camell Laird shipyards, the Ben's freight has been carried by a chartered vessel, MV Arrow.
