Body discovery related to burglaries

by isleofman.com 21st May 2014

Police have confirmed they were searching a property in relation to a string of burglaries when a body was found last month.

Officers were executing a search warrant at the home of Cheryl Eves, where they discovered her body. Her death is still currently under investigation but is not being treated as suspicious.

What police describe as 'a number' of burglaries of insecure properties in Strang and Union Mills took place over Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 of April. While at Ms Eves' address they recovered items that have now been identified as having been taken during the burglaries.

A police spokesman said: 'Although these items were located within Ms Eves' address, enquiries are still continuing at this time as to how they got there.'
