Redding Set for TT Appearance with Bennetts and Bikenation

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2014

British MotoGP rookie Scott Redding is set to make a guest appearance at this year’s iconic Isle of Man TT as an ambassador for Bennetts, the bike insurance specialists who sponsor the 21-year-old Gloucester-born rider and the historic road races.

Redding will be on the Island on Friday 6 June and is planning to take part in a parade lap of the legendary 37.73 mile road course on board a Honda Fireblade. He will also drop the flag at the start of the Bikenation Lightweight TT race, backed by Bennetts’ new online retail venture, before joining the 40,000 race fans to watch the showcase Senior TT race that afternoon.

Commenting on his first visit to the Island, Redding said: "The TT guys are unique in motorcycle racing. I have huge respect and admiration for what they do. The chance to ride round the TT course on a closed road is a brilliant opportunity for me to experience something different and I'm really looking forward to getting out to the Island to meet the TT fans, see the racing first hand and get a lap in as well."
