Self-Service top-ups for Manx Telecom pay as you go customers

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2014

Manx Telecom has launched Self-Service top-ups for its pay as you go mobile customers. The new service makes it easier to add credit at any time of the day or night simply by dialling 154, and then following the recorded message instructions to key in the top-up amount required, followed by credit or debit card details. It also allows customers to top-up other mobiles for friends and family, quickly and easily, and without the need to wait to speak to an operator.

Emma Walker, Head of Customer Care at Manx Telecom, said:
“This new service makes it even easier for our pay as you go mobile customers to top-up, and adds to the suite of top-up options already in place. Our customers have different needs, so we offer multiple options to allow them to manage their credit, saving time and making their busy lives easier. This new service is part of our continued drive to improve the services we offer. With automated top-ups it’s immediate, there’s no need to wait to speak to an operator. It’s a much more efficient, saving customers valuable time, and allows our customer services team to concentrate on delivering support and advice on the increasing range of services and products we provide. This is just one of several changes we’re looking to introduce over the coming months to improve customer service experience.”

The new service went live on the evening of Tuesday 20th May and customer feedback is positive. In the unlikely event that our customers require assistance completing the Self-Service top-up, the system is intuitive and will redirect customers to an operator, should they encounter issues.

Manx Telecom pay as you go mobile customers can also top-up online, and set up a ‘text 2 top-up’ or ‘auto top-ups’ at www.manxtelecom.com/topup which all help to make life easier and ensure that you never need to run out of credit.
