Police gear up for TT

It’s almost the busiest fortnight of the year on the Island’s roads, and police are gearing up for the annual influx of bikers.

The Mountain Road will be transformed into a one-way system by workers at the Department of Infrastructure tomorrow.

It’s one of a range of measures introduced to try to keep people safe during the race festival which gets underway with the first practices on Saturday.

Sergeant Allan Thompson, the head of the Roads Policing Unit says officers have a variety of tactics up their sleeves:Clip 1
