Bowl's hallowed turf damaged during soccer celebrations

by isleofman.com 23rd May 2014

Police want to trace a football fan whose celebrations after a match at the Bowl have damaged the astro turf.
A firework or smoke bomb was thrown on the pitch after Douglas High School Old Boys beat St George's in the final of the Hospital Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Police say it was probably over-exuberance rather than a deliberate attempt to cause damage, but the astro turf has been burned.
The person repsonsible is asked to contact police at Lord Street station on 631212.
