WANT TO WORK IN FILM BUT NEED SOME (art) DIRECTION?
Art Director and Production Designer Anisha Fields, who worked on the highly acclaimed film 'Blackbird' with Manx cinematographer John Craine (which was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA and won 'Best of the Fest' at Edinburgh Int'l Film Fest 2013), is going to be running a short workshop on the Island next Wednesday evening (28th May) with a view to finding some passionate, creative assistants to work alongside her on an upcoming film.
Anisha will be working alongside John again, this time as Production Designer on his own short film 'Muck' which will shoot on the Island in July as part of the MannIN Shorts Film Scheme. The shoot is design intensive, partly because it is a period piece set in the 1950s, but also because it is set in a large farm house - which will need dressing and designing throughout. So Anisha is looking to put together a dedicated and reliable team of people who will be capable of making the world of 'Muck' a reality. As she is on Island next week for a couple of days to prep for the shoot, she has agreed to run this exclusive workshop for MannIN Shorts.
If you are 16 years upwards and think you are artistic and passionate enough to join the team, or if you're interested in finding out more about what goes into designing a film, please emailchristy@manninshorts.com for all details about the workshop.
