Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that took place on the Astro Turf at the Bowl football pitch following a match between Douglas High School Old Boys and St Georges. The incident occurred between 4.45pm and 5.00pm Sunday 18th May 2014, during this incident it is believed a fan has placed a smoke bomb on the pitch which has damaged the Astro Turf. PC MOORE of Lord Street Police Station stated “this would appear to have been a reckless act committed in celebration rather than a deliberate act; I would urge the person responsible to contact me.”

At approximately 5.00pm on Thursday 22nd May 2014, a dog has been attacked by two brown and white dogs in the Millennium Oakwood Plantation causing injuries to both the dog and its owner. At the time of the incident, both dog owners were present and have struggled considerably for some time whilst trying to separate the dogs. There was a lot of shouting and anyone in the area will have been aware of the commotion. The male owner of the two dogs has left the area without leaving his details.
Police would like to speak with the owner of the two dogs who are described as being small white dogs with brown patches. If you have any information regarding the incident or are the owner of the two dogs, please contact Police Constable 303 Rebekah Collings on 631212.
Dog owners are kindly reminded that under the Dogs Act 1990 the owner of a dog not properly under control could be liable to a fine not exceeding ?2500 if convicted.
Dog owners are requested to keep their dogs under control at all times.
