Pier Jumping Warning

by isleofman.com 26th May 2014
Jumping into the Island's harbours, even at high tide, is a dangerous business.

That’s the message from the Department of Infrastructure's Ports Divison, which has launched its annual warning about swimming in harbours and pier jumping.

It’s not only about hitting a hard surface on your way down, they’re also warning about the dangers of moving boats, the shock that can occur when suddenly entering cold water, and people not knowing the true depth of water.
