Billown the stage for pre-TT

by isleofman.com 26th May 2014
Weather permitting, a full day of racing is in prospect at Billown today.

There’s a good entry for the Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic.

Full coverage on Manx Radio TT.

Roads around the course are due to close at 9.10am until 12.20pm and then again between 1.05pm and 4.10pm.

Meanwhile, organisers and race fans are hoping TT 2014 will burst into life today.

Heavy rain led to the cancellation of Saturday’s first scheduled practice session.

But there’s hope the action will get going this evening, when roads are due to start closing at 4.45pm on the Mountain Section, and at 6pm elsewhere.

The schedule has been tweaked to accommodate solo and sidecar newcomers.

The solos are due out at six fifteen for a speed controlled untimed lap with the sidecar newcomers due out at half past six.

The session will then run as planned from quarter to seven with a full solo session for Superbike, Superstock and Supersport machines and a sidecar qualifying session from five to eight.

Roads are due to reopen no later than 9.30pm.
