High hopes for new-look carnival

by isleofman.com 28th May 2014
A true reflection of the diversity of life on the Island.
That's what organisers of this summer's revamped Douglas carnival are hoping for when the event takes place on the 19th of July.
Douglas Development Partnership and Douglas Council are putting on the first carnival in the capital for two decades.
Chris Pyecroft and Michelle O'Malley from the DDP say they hope the modern event will be as popular as the old carnivals which people still remember.
Those wishing to have a float in the carnival need to get in touch with organisers via the website douglascarnival.im as soon as possible.
