Police appeal for witnesses of yesterday's collision

At approx. 1.55pm yesterday, 28th May, a 3 vehicle collision occurred at Hailwood Rise just prior to the Brandywell junction.  The incident involved two motorcycles and a car.

The rider of one of the motorcycles sustained serious injuries and has been flown away to a UK hospital, for further treatment.  The injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time. 

The road remained closed from the time of the incident until the TT road closure at 5.00pm.

PC David Schumacher, who was the first officer to attend the scene, would like to pass on his thanks to the members of the public who assisted in rendering first aid to the injured rider

Anybody that witnessed this collision is asked to contact PC Steve Tate in the Roads Policing Unit on 631212.
