TT fans love using their smartphones to upload videos and photos to share the thrills and excitement with friends back home. And Manx Telecom’s mobile network is ready and raring to go so that all of the TT’s magic moments can be viewed around the world within minutes. The world’s greatest road racing festival is the busiest time of the year for the company’s mobile network with thousands more customers using it for calls, texts and internet.

So, in the same way that teams get their bikes ready for racing, we also give our network a tune-up for TT by adding extra capacity where possible and providing portable mobile masts at locations where there is increased demand. Manx Telecom’s store in Strand Street, Douglas, will also feature a ‘Support Phone Point’ during TT which is a self-service helpdesk with roaming advice for visitors to the Island. Customers can use it to resolve any issues that may arise whilst roaming in the Isle of Man. The Support Phone Point’s tablet device and phone can be used by customers to contact their off-Island mobile provider’s support centre, or to check details such as roaming agreements.
This year’s TT promises to be an extra special for one for bike fans because Manx Telecom is giving away a ?15,000 limited edition Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP – it’s the road version of the machine which Honda Racing team stars John McGuinness and Conor Cummins will be riding in the Superbike and Senior races at this year’s TT, and one of only 160 available in the UK.
It’s a dream bike for any TT fan, and visitors or residents just have to use the Manx Telecom mobile network to be in with a chance of winning. Making a call, sending a text, or using data on our network any time until 5th June, automatically enters the user into the prize draw.
