Conditions for this week's fourth TT practice session weren't ideal but damp roads dried out enough to allow Supersport and Lightweight machines to get three good laps in.
Sidecars were first on the road with newcomers reportedly showing well - Alan Founds/Tom Peters and Dwight and Noel Beare lapping at 101.981 and 100.951 respectively. After an incident at Pinfold Cottage sidecar outfit Ewan Walker and Dickie Gale were airlifted to hospital, with Walker sustaining minor injuries while Gale was reported to have back and knee injuries.
The solo machines finally took to the mountain course just after 8pm in fading light and with damp patches to negotiate.
Because last night's session was disrupted, tonight's will see Superbikes, Supersport and Superstock machines out first, followed by sidecars and the TT Zero qualifying between 8.40-8.55pm.
