by isleofman.com 30th May 2014

Witnesses are being sought to a serious assault in Douglas last night.

A 23 year old woman was taken to hospital with what police describe as serious injuries requiring 'extensive treatment' after the attack.

Police say there were several people in Demesne Road, Douglas, at about 8.45pm last night when the assault occurred. A spokesman said: 'Although only one person would appear to be the victim, it is likely that a number of young people would have been present at the time.'
