New Chief Executive in Department of Health and Social Care

by isleofman.com 30th May 2014
A new Chief Executive has been appointed at the Department of Health and Social Care.
Mark Charters comes from a background of leadership roles within housing and social care services for adults in the UK, having worked at director level in Southampton, Northamptonshire and London.
Mr Charters, who grew up in Cyprus and New Zealand, helped turn around failing social care and children's services in his most recent role in the London Borough of Bexley.
Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle says they've carried out an extensive recruitment process as it was vital to find the right person for the job.
Mr Charters will take up his new post in July.
