Police are requesting information regarding a serious assault that took place in the area of Demesne Road, Douglas at approximately 8.45pm Thursday 29th May 2014.  Although only one person would appear to be the victim, it is likely that a number of young people would have been present at the time.  As a result of this assault a 23 year old female was subject to serious injuries to her body.  She was admitted to Nobles Hospital where she requires extensive treatment. 
 
Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area between the relevant times, and who may have seen any part of what occurred to come forward and make contact with Police Sergeant Corran at Lord Street Police Station or CID on 631212.
