by isleofman.com 31st May 2014

TT 2014 moves into top gear today as racing finally gets underway on the mountain course.

It's the day road race fans around the globe have been waiting for.

And if qualifying times from practice week are an indicator, they could be in for a thriller.

The mountain road is due to close at 9.30, the rest of the course at 10 o'clock.

Vanatage points around the circuit have been filling up fast, as thousands of bikers and locals take their place to witness the sport's ultimate challenge.

The six lap Dainese Superbike race starts proceedings at 11 o'clock with all the big guns vying for glory, with the first sidecar race scheduled for 2pm.
