TT races delayed by weather

by isleofman.com 2nd June 2014

Organisers of the TT races have delayed this morning's Supersport because of poor weather conditions.

Extensive hill fog and coastal mist is expected to lift slowly, according to the met office, but could linger on the mountain. Today's racing programme was due to get under way at 10.45am but the roads will remain open ahead of a further announcement at midday.

Meanwhile, Michael Dunlop recorded his eighth TT victory in Saturday's Superbike event in record-breaking style, with Guy Martin second and Manx rider Conor Cummins in third place - while Bruce Anstey made sensational news. The Kiwi became the first rider ever to lap at more than 132mph, with a final lap of 132.298mph.
